Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (JBPU) Health and Welfare Benefit Plan

JBPU health and welfare benefit plan includes medical and prescription drug benefits, dental benefits,  vision benefits, and  flexible spending accounts. Benefits are self-funded and are administered through contracts with third-party administrators.   

The JBPU and employees both contribute to the Plan. The JBPU will use these contributions to pay benefits to or on behalf of Plan Participants from the JBPU’s general assets. Employee contributions toward the cost of a particular benefit will be used in their entirety prior to using JBPU contributions to pay for the cost of such benefit.

Federal law requires that group health plans must disclose, on a public website, information regarding in-network payment rates for covered items and services and out-of-network allowed amounts and billed charges for covered items and services.
