Mayor Sam Teresi appointed Terrance Horner to the Board of Public Utilities for a term beginning in 2016. Retired, Horner worked from 1974-2013 as Biomedical Technician at WCA Hospital. A Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Army, Horner served as Aid to Brigadier General Sprugen Neal, Surgeon General, Vietnam; and as an Enlisted Aide to Brigadier General Don R. Hickman, Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel and Administration in Vietnam.
Horner is a Graduate of Jamestown High School and holds an Associate of Applied Science degree from Jamestown Community College.
Horner is Treasurer and a member of the Property Committee of First Lutheran Church. He is a former 50+ year member of the First Congregational Church where he served as a teacher, deacon, trustee, on the church council and as treasurer. He is a member of the Vikings, Ingjald Lodge 65; the Roger Tory Peterson Institute; the Jamestown Audubon Society; the VFW Post 53; and the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy. He serves as an advisor to the City of Jamestown Riverfront Management Council.
Horner will serve a four-year term.
